Get ready for flying taxis because they’re coming to San Francisco International Airport in 2026. United Airlines is partnering with an electric aircraft company to launch the service for commuters coming to and from SFO.

Both companies will work with local and state officials on the appropriate infrastructure.

The two companies hope to have launched an eVTOL service for San Francisco residents and visitors by 2026. According to Eve, the aircraft will have a range of up to 60 miles, allowing them to operate many commuter routes within the San Francisco Bay area.

This comes two months after United said it was teaming up with a Santa Clara-based company for the first air taxi route in Chicago.
