San Francisco is rolling out the red carpet for world business bigwigs and heads of state. But the street crime is also on display. A Czech TV crew was robbed at gunpoint in the North Beach neighborhood according to SF Police.

The journalists were in the city to cover the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit when they were held up in front of the City Lights Bookstore near Columbus and Broadway.

Police were told that three people got out of a car with firearms and demanded their equipment. The crooks then jumped back in the car and took off. The SF Chronicle reports the robbers got away with about 18-thousand dollars worth of gear.
