San Francisco Mayor London Breed is giving an update on the city’s anti-retail theft operations this holiday season. Breed says that the San Francisco Police Department will expand its blitz strategy that has led to significant arrests in retail establishments across the city.

In September, San Francisco received millions in state funding to combat organized retail crime. Since then the SFPD has put that money to use, arresting more than 300 people at more than 40 locations during these targeted operations.

SFPD Chief Bill Scott says officers will be out in force this holiday shopping season making sure people will be safe to enjoy San Francisco.
