The ongoing historic rainstorm has kept Los Angeles firefighters and structural engineers extremely busy. Since Sunday, the city has received 475 reports of mudslides, including one that damaged this man’s home in Baldwin Hills.
Firefighters have also responded to 390 reports of fallen trees since Sunday. Crews put out a dozen structure fires and made several water rescues. Elsewhere, 919 spots where the stormwater system became clogged have been cleared. The city has also taken 440 reports of new potholes. And, the L.A. Department of Water and Power has restored electricity to more than 59-thousand customers.
