More than 20-thousand-dollars worth of stolen merchandise has been found in a storage unit belonging to a Sacramento County jail inmate. Police say the merchandise had been stolen from Nike and Marshall’s stores in the Arden area.

The items include more than 40 pairs of designer shoes, purses, handbags, luggage and several pieces of clothing.

The Nike store loss prevention team reportedly told the sheriff’s office that the inmate stole over $30,000 from the store. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is planning to return all of the merchandise to the stores.
