A newborn boy is dead after allegedly being dropped from a fourth-floor window in Los Angeles. Police say the baby was found in an alley near a building in the Skid Row area of the city Thursday morning. Passersby did CPR on the child before emergency crews arrived, but the baby was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the baby was potentially dropped from a fourth-floor window after the mother gave birth. A woman was detained by police and was then released pending a further investigation.
The tragic murder comes a day after California Governor Gavin Newsom was seen being heckled while visiting Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles in a video.
