Store Owner Run Over, Killed by Shoplifters

A Southern California store owner is dead after he was run over and killed by alleged shoplifters.  L.A. County Sheriff’s officials say the incident happened Wednesday afternoon outside the Giant Discount Store in El Monte.  Authorities say the suspected shoplifters stole a ten-dollar box of masks and then were chased outside by shop owner Steve Yaghoubi.  The suspects are said to have gotten into their vehicle and backed up, fatally running over Yaghoubi before taking off.  They have yet to be captured.
