The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office has decided not to charge California lawmaker Sabrina Cervantes, who was accused of DUI. Her blood tests came out negative for alcohol or drugs after a crash on May 19th caused by another vehicle running a stop sign. She was on her way to the Capitol. Although police initially suspected she was impaired, they later clarified that she did not appear drunk but might have been under the influence of drugs. Police say their investigation was professional, saying that body camera footage does not support her claims of mistreatment on the day of the crash.
