Downtown L.A. Businesses Hurt By Protest Curfew

Some downtown businesses are being hurt by the curfew in place following recent protests. The curfews do reduce the vandalism and looting but they also prohibit potential customers from patronizing the after-hour businesses like restaurants and bars. The L.A. Times reports businesses are closing early, which means workers’ hours and income are affected as much as the business’ bottom line. The head of the Historic Core Business Improvement District reportedly says the city has discussed financial aid for the businesses impacted.
