Cudahy Vice Mayor Accused of Calling on Gangs to Fight Against ICE Raids

The vice mayor of Cudahy is facing backlash for comments she made on social media. Cynthia Gonzalez is accused of calling on gang members to stand up against ICE raids. In an Instagram post, Gonzalez said she wants to know “where all the cholos are at in Los Angeles.” She also said “your hood is being invaded by the biggest gang there is.” The more than minute-long video posted earlier this week has since been taken down. Last month, UCLA hired Gonzalez as its new Director of the Principal Leadership Institute.
