Child Sex Law Finally Goes To Newsom

After two years of Democrat debate, buying a child for sex is a step closer to becoming a felony in California. The legislature has sent Governor Newsom a bill that would increase penalties for adults who purchase sex from 16 or 17 year olds. Two Democrats withheld support due to concerns over loitering-related language in the bill. Newsom has indicated support for at least parts of the measure, which now awaits his signature.
