The Trump Administration is removing ICE leadership in several major cities, including Los Angeles. Some of the leaders will reportedly be replaced with Customs and Border Protection officials. The shakeup is happening at about a dozen ICE offices across the nation. The Washington Examiner reports Los Angeles Field Office Director Ernesto Santacruz and San Diego Field Office Director Patrick Divver are among the ICE leaders being replaced. Border Patrol leaders will reportedly handle interior enforcement, which has historically been the responsibility of ICE. The L.A. Times reports Border Patrol’s aggressive tactics will be used in more interior cities to achieve higher deportation numbers.
