Bay Area residents are hoping to dry out today after a wet and wild Tuesday. Heavy rain hit the region in the morning hours, leaving numerous areas flooded. In the higher elevations, Bay Area peaks like Mount Hamilton were expected to get nearly eight inches of snow. Strong winds led to issues like an incident in San Mateo where a massive pine tree fell across West 20th Avenue and snarled traffic. Similar tree incidents took place in Dublin and Pleasanton.
