The family Gemmel Moore is being awarded two-million-dollars in a wrongful death lawsuit against Southern California Democrat donor Ed Buck. The civil federal trial started on Monday, and yesterday the jury reached a verdict. They unanimously found Buck responsible for the 2017 death of Gemmel Moore.
Back in 2021, Buck was found guilty of the overdose deaths of Moore and a second man at his West Hollywood apartment. He’s serving a 30-year sentence. The 71-year-old denied the charges, but prosecutors convinced a jury that he lured Black men into his home for sex and injected them with drugs knowing that they might die.
Buck is facing an additional civil trial in Santa Monica on behalf of Dane Brown’s estate.
