Some Long Beach residents are voicing frustration over advertisements for an adult website that have appeared throughout their neighborhoods. The brightly colored signs promote an adult hookup site offering “adult fun” and have been spotted on the sides of parked trailers and vans near homes and local businesses. Residents say the ads are inappropriate for family neighborhoods and have raised concerns about children being exposed to the explicit messaging. Long Beach Councilmember Tunua Thrash-Ntuk says her office has received nearly 100 complaints from community members asking the city to take action. The Long Beach Police Department says it is aware of the situation and is monitoring the advertisements. Officials say enforcement actions could include issuing citations to vehicle owners or towing trailers and vans that are parked illegally or found to be violating city regulations. The city continues reviewing options to address the complaints and remove the advertisements from affected neighborhoods.
