Boyfriend Charged with Murder of ‘SNL’ Writer’s Sister

Prosecutors have filed charges against two people accused of murdering Christina Downer, the sister of “Saturday Night Live” writer Jimmy Fowlie. One of the suspects is her boyfriend, 41-year-old Delorean Brandon. The other is 34-year-old Kaylee Markowski. Prosecutors allege both were involved in Downer’s killing, the disposal of her body and efforts to cover up their involvement. Both suspects are being held on two-million-dollars bail. Downer, who was 38, was reported missing in December 2025. However, prosecutors say she was killed three months earlier, in September. Investigators have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding her death. The case has drawn attention because of Downer’s connection to Fowlie, who is known for his work as a writer on the long-running NBC sketch comedy show. The two defendants now face prosecution in connection with her death.
