The race to be California’s next governor is heating up. A new poll released by Emerson College has Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco topping the list of candidates and holding a one point lead over former Fox News host Steve Hilton in the crowded Republican field. Meanwhile, there’s been some shuffling at top of the list of Democrats. Former Congresswoman Katie Porter had held a lead for her party, but now Northern California Congressman Eric Swalwell is leading the pack. A spokesperson for Emerson says the race is wide open.
