Authorities have identified a body recovered from the San Francisco Bay as one of the victims of this week’s deadly boating tragedy. The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim is 58-year-old Tondra Miller, whose body was found Thursday near Treasure Island. Miller was among three people missing after a cabin cruiser capsized Tuesday between Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge during a family memorial gathering. One person died the day of the accident, while two others remain missing as the investigation continues. In Redwood City, a man was killed after trying to stop a hit-and-run suspect and was run over and dragged by the fleeing vehicle. Meanwhile, San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie is calling for stricter regulations on Waymo autonomous vehicles before expanding operations in the city. In other Northern California news, agricultural officials are working to contain the spread of an invasive insect that threatens crops and could cause significant damage to the state’s agriculture industry.
