A man accused of murder in Los Angeles is behind bars after being arrested in El Salvador and returned to the United States. Jonathan Rodriguez was taken into custody at LAX after being picked up by the U.S. Marshals Service. His attorney reportedly negotiated and coordinated his surrender with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors say Rodriguez was responsible for the death of a 16-year-old boy in Exposition Park nearly two years ago before fleeing the country. The teenager was killed in a hit-and-run crash following an apparent road rage incident near BMO Stadium. Investigators say Rodriguez initially fled to Mexico before using his dual citizenship to relocate to El Salvador. Authorities say his arrest brings him back to Los Angeles to face the murder allegations. Rodriguez remains in custody as the case moves forward. The charges stem from the deadly crash, and the allegations against him have not been proven in court.
