Hayden Panettiere Honored During Memorial One Month After Death

Actress Hayden Panettiere continues to be remembered by family, friends and colleagues more than a month after her death. Several of her famous friends, including Connie Britton, Ruby Rose and Charles Esten, gathered for a memorial service in Malibu, California, this past Saturday. Panettiere, best known for her role as Claire Bennet on the NBC science-fiction series “Heroes,” died at the age of 36 on August 16th in South Carolina. Her death was reportedly linked to an apparent overdose. According to TMZ, Panettiere’s father, Alan Panettiere, attended Saturday’s private memorial service. The outlet reports that her mother, Lesley Vogel, and her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, were not invited to the gathering. Panettiere also appeared in several films and television shows throughout her career, including “Nashville,” “Scream 4” and “Remember the Titans.” She began acting as a child and became a familiar face in Hollywood.
