The Marin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in the unincorporated community of Strawberry near Mill Valley. Three people were found dead inside a home Sunday evening after authorities received a report of gunshots. According to investigators, a 911 call was made from inside the residence shortly after 5 p.m. The caller was able to safely leave the home before deputies secured the area and went inside. Deputies discovered the three deceased individuals, but authorities have not yet publicly identified them or confirmed the cause of death. The sheriff’s office says the investigation remains in its early stages. Authorities have not disclosed what led to the shooting or whether the three people were related. Officials say they do not believe there is a threat to the wider community, but are asking the public to avoid the area while detectives continue gathering evidence. No arrests have been announced.
