A Dublin couple accused of murdering their son-in-law will remain behind bars as their criminal case moves forward. Attorneys for 77-year-old Shouyong Zhang and his wife, 77-year-old Shili Chen, say both defendants have pleaded not guilty to multiple charges. The couple is accused of killing Jonathan McKinsey inside a public park last month. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder. Reports indicate McKinsey was involved in a divorce and child custody battle with the couple’s daughter at the time of his death. Zhang’s public defender is expected to ask a judge to release his client from custody, citing concerns about his health. The attorney says Zhang has dementia and is worried about his well-being while incarcerated. It remains unclear whether the court will grant the request. Both defendants remain in custody as the case proceeds, and the allegations against them have not been proven in court. The investigation and legal proceedings are ongoing.
