San Francisco Reward for Stolen Military Dog Tags from Mission District

By

/

A local family is offering a reward to find dog tags from a World War II hero.

They were stolen from an SUV last week in San Francisco’s Mission District. They belonged to Private Ambrose D. Regalia; a Pleasanton man awarded a Purple Heart after his death.

His great-niece says that’s all the family has to remember him, and the thief doesn’t understand the significance of what they took.

The tags were stolen out of a Jeep Cherokee in the Mission District of San Francisco last Thursday.

If you think you’ve come across Regalia’s military dog tags, you can contact the family at (415) 967-8254 or email them at [email protected].
