Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is dropping out of the race for the White House and endorsing former President Trump.  DeSantis made it official Sunday with a video posted on X.

DeSantis was considered a front-runner early on, but finished a distant second in the Iowa Caucus and was polling in single digits ahead of Tuesday’s key New Hampshire primary. 

Speaking at a rally in New Hampshire Sunday, Former President Trump called DeSantis a “terrific person” who ran a “really good campaign.” 

The GOP race is now essentially a two-person battle between Trump and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who served as U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. during the Trump administration.
