A verdict has been reached in the San Francisco trial of the man who attacked Nancy Pelosi’s husband with a hammer.  David DePape has been found guilty.

Prosecutors say the Democratic congresswoman was the intended target of last year’s attack, but when she wasn’t home, the attacker went after Paul Pelosi instead. 

DePape admitted he attacked Pelosi and apologized when he took the stand Tuesday.  DePape faces life behind bars if convicted on federal charges.

He still faces a second trial on state charges.
