President Biden says California Governor Gavin Newsom could have the job Biden is hoping to keep in 2024. 

While speaking at the APEC summit in San Francisco, Biden joked about Newsom’s much-discussed White House ambitions. 

He said Newsom is “one hell of a governor” and could be anything he wants, including president. 

He’s repeatedly dismissed speculation he could challenge Biden for the Democratic nomination in 2024 despite his actions.
