A suspect has been identified in connection with a series of murders of homeless people in Los Angeles.

Police say 33-year-old Jerrid Joseph Powell is behind the murder of at least three homeless men, and suspected in a fourth killing – all within a four-day stretch last week.

Powell is already in custody after killing a San Dimas man during a robbery last Thursday.

A motive for the murders is not yet known.
