The California Public Utilities Commission may fine Cruise for withholding facts about a Robotaxi crash in San Francisco. Regulators are particularly interested in an October 2nd accident when an autonomous vehicle dragged a pedestrian 20 feet.

The potential penalty facing GM’s Cruise service could be around $1.5 million, based on documents filed late last week by the California Public Utilities Commission.

Three weeks after Cruise’s Oct. 2 accident, the California Department of Motor Vehicles suspended Cruise’s license to operate in the state.
