Chinese President Xi Jinping is warning President Biden that Beijing will reunify Taiwan with mainland China. That’s according to three current and former US officials, who discussed a recent summit attended by the leaders in San Francisco.

Xi told Biden in a group meeting that China would prefer to take Taiwan peacefully, not by force. China’s leader also referenced public predictions from US military who said Xi plans to take Taiwan in 2025 and 2027, saying they’re incorrect because he has not set a time frame.
