House Republicans are moving forward with impeachment proceedings against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

The House Homeland Security Committee is holding its first impeachment hearing against Mayorkas. 

Another hearing is possible next week, and a full House vote could come later this month or in early February. 

Republicans have slammed the secretary’s handling of the southern border as the number of migrant crossings hits record levels.
