CA Bill Would Let Restaurants Sell Alcohol To-Go Outdoors

There’s a new push for entertainment zones in California.  A bill aims to allow bars and restaurants to serve alcohol outdoors in public spaces. 

It’s a step beyond the current law which lets businesses do just that by setting up booths at festivals. 

Senator Scott Wiener is behind the effort, trying to return foot traffic to pre-pandemic levels.  He says getting people back out in the streets is key to the economic recovery of cities across the state.
