Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is offering some advice to his successor.  McCarthy told CBS’s Face the Nation Speaker Mike Johnson shouldn’t be afraid of a motion to vacate. 

McCarthy said he doesn’t believe Johnson will be ousted as speaker.  This after Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green filed a motion to vacate Johnson due to his support for a bipartisan spending bill that was ultimately signed into law. 

It’s the same procedure that led to McCarthy being forced out as speaker last year.
