CA Fast Food Prices to Rise Amid Minimum Wage Hike

The list is growing longer of where Californians can expect to pay more to eat.  Chipotle, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Jack in the Box and Shake Shack are all planning to raise prices with the state’s new minimum wage law.

Others will ramp up use of technology including fry robots, automated drink dispensers and more self-serve kiosks.  McDonalds, Taco Bell and others are already heavily reliant on their app for pre-orders.

Fast food workers will see a 25-percent bump in pay, to 20-dollars an hour.  Governor Newsom already signed a bill this week to exempt certain restaurants in places like airports, hotels and event centers.
