A popular rooftop restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles is now charging diners an added security fee. “Perch” says the four-and-a-half-percent surcharge on bills will help pay for the extra security measures it has put in place to protect its staff and guests.

The restaurant says extra security is needed to protect patrons not from intruders, but from each other. KTLA reports Perch has had several incidents involving patrons getting drunk and fighting each other.
