Is the CHP crackdown in Oakland and the East Bay working?  Officers recovered 414 stolen vehicles, made 181 arrests and seized 31 guns, all in just eight weeks.  This included undercover stings. 

The suspects are facing charges of auto theft, transportation of drugs, DUI, weapons and having outstanding warrants.  The CHP commissioner says the work is helping to restore peace of mind to hardworking Californians.
