Thieves are making off with 1920s-era bronze streetlight poles in Pasadena. Nearly a dozen of the poles, located along Orange Grove Boulevard about a mile south of the Rose Bowl, have been lifted out of the ground in less than two weeks.

Authorities say the thefts have happened between midnight and four a.m. It’s the latest of several theft sprees targeting bronze in Southern California. Bronze plaques have also been stolen in recent months.
