SF DA Charges 14-Year-Old Boy After Waymo Car Set on Fire

YouTube, @ABC7 Bay Area News.

A 14-year-old boy is suspected of setting a Waymo car on fire in San Francisco.  The video was shared all over social media in February when Lunar New Year celebrations in Chinatown turned violent.  Witnesses report a crowd around the car before someone threw fireworks inside and lit them.

Police say they found evidence at the teen’s home linking him to the crime.  The boy has been charged but the juvenile probation department will now decide if he’ll be arrested or go to court out of custody.
