CA Lawmakers Advance Bill to Warn Drivers When Speeding

An effort to make California roads safer is on the move.  A bill requiring new vehicles to alert drivers they’re speeding passed a Senate committee yesterday.  It calls for cars sold in the state to come with passive intelligent speed assistance, or ISA.  The system would warn drivers going five miles over the limit.  If signed into law, it would start with the 2029 model year.
