Most of the protesters arrested during last year’s pro-Hamas demonstrations at USC and UCLA will not face charges. That is according to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. The office received more than 300 referrals from arrests that were made during the mass protests last April and May.
Most of the cases were declined by prosecutors for evidentiary reasons or because of the universities’ inability to assist in identifying the suspects. Criminal charges have been filed against two protesters for their alleged conduct at UCLA. Three other suspects were referred to City Attorney hearings.
