Biden in Race to Push Through Regulations in Case of Trump Win

The Biden administration is pushing through federal regulations at a furious pace, with 37 proposed new rules and 56 finalized rules in the past week alone that will cost businesses $875.3 billion.

The total cost to businesses is just $20 billion less than the entirety of the Obama administration, The Washington Times reported Thursday, citing the American Action Forum (AAF), a right-leaning economic think tank that tracks federal regulations and their costs. The Biden administration is working fast in case former President Donald Trump prevails in November’s election.

“I think in this past week you really started to see an uptick in activity,” Dan Goldbeck, director of regulatory policy at the AAF, told the Times. “They are prioritizing some really big items.
