Republicans from Texas cheered the state’s Republican governor, Greg Abbott, and the University of Texas at Austin for their success in shutting down a pro-Palestinian protest within hours of it starting, The Washington Examiner reported.

“Take your intifada and shove it! Don’t Mess with Texas,” said Rep. Beth Van Duyne, R-Texas, in a post on X.

“This is how it is done @Columbia. Thank you @JCHartzell,” state Rep. Craig Goldman wrote, tagging the president of UT Austin in his post.
